RIP Coach I had the pleasure of being coached by Mr. Rhodes he pushed me to my limits as a pitcher. He yelled at me so many times.. Pushed me to my limits Thank you coach.. I hope things are going as well as they possibly can be during this time. It is numbing and will take a long time, actually forever, to absorb. It is clear that he was highly esteemed by colleagues and loved by family and friends. An enviable legacy! Loving thoughts to you, Charlie and Joanne. I didn't know Steve as well as other people. Steve did however come up to NIU for Halloween and slept on the coach at my apartment.
He was a cool guy and I'll never forget him. Richard H Baker. With sadness we hear we have lost one of the best Another of our soot brothers or sisters will be laid to rest All too often we take for granted the friends we have made When distance and time cause recollections to fade That said there are some that will etch in our soul Lifelong memories and stories as times together unfold Our Italian travels are a perfect example of this Fun and laughter on our now infamous trips We will never forget searching for invisible nuns Or offending bus drivers by misplacing bums At such sad times it is hard to articulate Better me thinks to reflect and contemplate How our lives are much richer for the people we know And our hearts will be filled with with a positive glow When we are in quiet and peace and shed our tears We can reminisce, smile and rejoice through the years.
